Life has been pretty good

I’m just …grateful for so many things.

I hear the dog outside, playing with mum. She’s old and most definitely will die soon. Still, I am treasuring her days with me.

So much more to update but I am sleepy. So I’ll leave it here for now. Just wanted to quick update.

(I am actually in a good mood, but when I type things out I always sound so pessimistic. What does that say about me? Haha…)

17 Things You Know All Too Well If You Had A Job In College

This was probably me writing this… #jkbutseriouslysorelevant

1. When everyone is rallying to party it up at 10 p.m. on a Thursday, you had to stay in to study, were working a night shift, or were getting sleep so you could work on your Friday night.

2. … and the same thing happened on Friday and Saturday, so it sometimes felt like you had no social life at all.

3. If there was a work deadline or you were really frazzled between juggling so many things, you had to get really creative with explaining to that one teacher why you needed an extension on that paper. You also had a running list of which teachers would be more understanding than others.

4. Often, you’d load two or three days a week with all your classes, thinking it’d be easier that way… until you had four papers due on the same day.

5. The bag you’d schlep between…

It’s pretty much been a year since I had this blog, I remember among my first posts were applying for colleges.

College sucks, most likely because of me. My schedule is packed pretty tight that I don’t have a lot of time to enjoy it. Good thing I am a freshman, I still have plenty of time to figure things out and change if it is not what I am happy with.

& of course, I will update you on boys.

There’s this guy that I am kind of catching feelings for. I totally hate myself for it. He’s actually the thug type, but he is smart. He’s the snap back, pants down type. Which, if you know me, you’ll be like.. “what?!”

I’m afraid to post more details about him, though I know he probably will not be able to find this. #paranoia

I always fall for the flirty guys, I’m stupid.

ugh, save me. I don’t want to like him.

Then again, my feelings are like the weather. I will check back with you in a bit. Very soon, because my birthday is tomorrow! woohoo

oOOOooOoooo !! officially making $20/hour now. At the internship. Did I even blog bout that? Well, yeah.

Many updates and today’s sermon

I haven’t really blogged recently and so there are certain things worth mentioning…

1. GM at the hotel praised me in front of intern! He asked the Intern privately who he should promote and she named me. He said he would be I am not full time. He’s going to try to hire me when I graduate. **woOOoooOooOhOoOoOooo

2. Went to a party/meet-up for 3 friend’s birthday. The person i least expect actually recommend a place for us to drink. Uhm, T., where did you even come from? Then I became really friendly with one of my sister’s friends and he admitted to me that he missed my sister, which I thought was so cute… lol. (always thought they looked mad cute together). We are so awkward when we are sober but I have a video of us high fiving each other.. so.. haha.. alcohol does funny things to people.
** speaking of which… kinda held hands with my good childhood friend in the car. Kind of awkward, but kind of funny at the same time. I’m pretty sure I let go first because he was pretty f***ed up lol. I remember feeling how awkward it was even though I was tipsy-ish. Good night though, I had fun.

3. Finally got my gah jing geen! excited to use it. Only used it once to buy some yeen for a friend.

4. started to go to a church in Whitestone. It’s a Korean church called Mustard Seed. The Pastor always talks about topics I want to avoid. Alcohol, marriage, respect for parents, fathers…. All jokes aside I really did learn a lot of perspective from him though. The most shocking so far is the equality of man and woman, but the different roles each gender has. Apparently we have to be submissive to our husbands? … uhm.. independent woman here… You woulda thought

Which brings me to today’s sermon, I wanted to talk about it also. We talked about Fathers.. and he spoke of a lot of stats. How kids in fatherless homes are more destined to drop out, to suicide, etc. Im just so glad I beat the statistics. I’m so glad that I value my future and I am going towards the correct path in my life. Or so I hope.

My relationship with God has been pretty shaky though. Lots of ‘ Hm…. do I actually care? ‘ & ‘Why am I here’ ‘s. Which is pretty scary in itself. I need to read the bible more.

Yeah. That’s about it. Lots of random thoughts and strange transitions. I’m not even going to bother proof reading this so it’s going to be really bad. It’s good to be recording my week down, though. (‘:

See you again mostly likely when school starts,

Good day

Yesterday I went to my brother’s friend’s BBQ. It was really nice, I think under normal circumstances I would be very bored. But the fact that I was not in a very social mood suit the atmosphere very well. Everyone was so busy with their kids, they didn’t really have time for me. I also had to accept the fact that I was no longer the youngest one of the group. I was looking at these adults that I met when they were in high school. Some are engaged, some are pregnant, and some already have children that are 6 years old. I’m eating my purple yam and wondering if I will be in their shoes in 10 years.

My brother met some very good friends in high school. It was the same friend that drove my family everywhere, the same friends that took care of us, the same friends that bought my family grocery shopping, the same friends that took care of Maggie while we were away, the same ones that lent us money while we were at our lows, and the ones that didn’t accept our share of the money yesterday at the BBQ.

Thinking back, It’s a little weird. I am now the same age as my brother back then, but I don’t think my friends are half as mature as them. People my age aren’t mature, in general.

So, I am really thankful for them. They are a blessing from God.

Friend got pissed

So if you know anything about my friendships you will know that I never get mad at my friends and vice versa. Today was probably the closest we got to it.

V. cancelled the plans for something that was planned for a while. It was for O.’s birthday back in April.. Lol O, naturally for upset.

Sigh I just think if I wasn’t poor and had to work I would be able to make more time for her … Idk .. Haha oops sorry I like to complain. Bye

18 Struggles Of Having An Outgoing Personality But Actually Being Shy And Introverted

When did I write this? I don’t remember ….

This… this is my soul song, people. This is my Vietnam.

1. You’re not anti-social, you’re selectively social.

2. At any given point, you have one (maybe two) best friends who are your entire life. You’re not a “group of friends” person. You can’t keep up with all that.

3. Social gatherings that are supposed to be “rites of passage” like prom and dances and other such typical nonsense is just… not for you. You don’t understand it. You want nothing to do with it.

4. When you do choose to grace a party with your presence, you are the life of it. You’re dancing on the table and doing body shots until 3 a.m.

5. … You then retreat into three days of complete solitude to recover.

6. You go out of your way to avoid people, but when you inevitably have to interact with them, you make it…
